Susan M. (Sojka) Accardi Villa, 74, of Huntley, died peacefully on October 8, 2024.
Suzie was born on December 14, 1949, the daughter of Peter and Lottie (Piegza) Sojka. She worked as a preschool teacher at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and later was a floral designer at Deptula Flowers. Suzie was a thirty-year breast cancer survivor with a loving mixture of strength, humor and fight. As a life-long Chicago Cub Fan, with a passion for cooking, she was the rock of the family. Suzie was a dog lover and enjoyed daily walks with her husband Jesús. Devoted in her Catholic faith, she deeply believed in the power of prayer. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma, sister and friend who would be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Jesús Villa, her children, Todd (Nichole) Accardi, Adrienne (Corey Purcell) Accardi, by her grandchildren Alexander, Nathaniel and Benjamin and by her sister Adrienne (Jack Graham) Jaworski. Suzie is also survived by Jesus’s family, his children Jesús (Renee) Villa, Cecilia (Alex) Meyer and by Veronica Villa and by his grandchildren, Maria, Rosie, Miguel, Riley, River and Jesús. Suzie was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 pm at DeFiore Funeral Home,10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church,10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. The burial will be at Huntley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Breast Cancer Research Foundation at BCRF.org or the Huntley Animal House Shelter at AnimalHouseShelter.com.

Susie and I went to Elementary and High school together. Spent a lot of time at her parents home enjoying hearing her and Adrienne playing piano. Condolences to her family for their loss.

I' ve known Susie for 60+ years. We along with twin Ted all went to St. Helen's School in Chicago as well as Sue and I went to Holy Family Academy in Chicago. Sue you fought the good fight and now it's time for rest!!!! 0
