Dennis J. Kaminski

Obituary

Dennis J. Kaminski, 77, of Lake in the Hills, passed away peacefully at home with his family on October 10, 2024.
Dennis was born October 6, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Theodore and Agnes (Ryczek) Kaminski. He attended St. Stanislaus Kostka School and Church, where he served as an altar boy. Dennis grew up with the love of his life, Bernadette “Bernie” Malon who also attended St. Stan’s and they lived across the street from each other. The couple married on May 10, 1969, in Chicago, IL. They would eventually move from Chicago to the suburbs in 1971 Hanover Park, Streamwood, Hoffman Estates and finally Lake in the Hills where they would spend 23 years.
Dennis worked as an accountant for 46 years before retiring. Hobbies Dennis enjoyed throughout his life included setting up model trains, creating aquariums for tropical fish, and in recent years Dennis and Bernie loved their parakeets. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Bernie, Dennis is survived by his three daughters, Catherine (Sirirat) Attapit, Denise (Mickey) Bittenbender, Kelly (Dan) Hartmann, and eleven grandchildren, Malee (Kadin), Taylor (Kevin), Jason, Danielle, Zachary, Evan, Tyler, Chadin, Alixandra, Ryan, and Carisa.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and a great-granddaughter, Aubree.
