Jose A. Mercado, 82, of Carpentersville, died peacefully, October 26, 2024.
Jose was born on May 3, 1942 in the Philippines the son of Jose and Trinidad. On October 14, 1984 he married Imelda Orozco. Jose worked as an accountant. He was an avid reader and enjoyed playing chess. He spent time at the library. Jose loved the technology of Apple and was always the first to get the latest Apple product. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Imelda Mercado, his children, Joseph (Elizabeth) Mercado, and Jessica Mercado, and by his granddaughter, Sayla Jun. He is also survived by his sisters, Shirley and Vicky. Jose is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Don and Josephine.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 9-10am with a Mass being celebrated at 10am all at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Inurnment will be at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines. a small luncheon after the inurnment at 1pm at Lai Thai Restaurant 7168 Dempster Street
