Phyllis M. Krumpolz, 79, of Aurora, Illinois, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024. She was born January 22, 1945 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Robert and Peggy (Dougherty) Brooks.
Phyllis moved from Lisle, Illinois to Aurora, where she would enjoy 32 years. She was a skilled saleswoman, forging her own path in the business world. In her free time, she loved walking on the riverwalk, Lake Michigan, and shopping. She was the queen of bargain finds at Marshall's and HomeGoods. Her grandkids were the light of her life, and she loved spending time with them most of all.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Thomas) Slagh, and her son, Andrew Krumpolz; her grandsons, Daniel (Karoline) Hannan and Kevin Hannan; two sisters, Jeanne (John) Wahl and Carol (Dave) Allen.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Elizabeth Williams Dillon Pasqua; a brother, Ray Brooks; and a brother-in-law, Dave Allen.
Visitation will be on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 1pm-4pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A prayer service will be held at 3:30 pm. Deacon Ken Giacone will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Waterleaf Women's Center in Aurora, Illinois.

Phyllis was a bright light that will be missed. Her family is a reflection of that light. She will be missed beyond measure.
Phyllis was a special woman that loved Sharon, Dan and Kevin unconditionally. I was so great full to know her.
Phyllis was a wonderful friend. She was kind, caring, brave and funny. I will always cherish the memories of our time spent together. She will be greatly missed.
She has been with me her whole life, and I will miss her dearly. As sisters we butted heads thru the years, but we were always close. She was bright and raised a beautiful family. We'll be together again In a better place. Love u always. Jeanne
Phyllis was a kind friendly lady. I’ll never forget our chats and laughs at Oak Street when i started going there in 2021. She would always split her burger with Me and made sure i was fed. she was an amazing person and I’m glad I got to know her if only for 4 years. God bless 🙏🏻 ✝️ ❤️🩹

We’ve known Phyllis (whom we affectionately call Phil) almost 10 yrs. We are so very thankful for each moment we were able to share with her. She loved her family fiercely and made friends wherever she went. To know her was to absolutely love her. Thank you Phil for bringing love, light and lots of laughter into our family. You will forever be missed. Our family extends our deepest condolences.
Phyllis Was a one of those girls that were part of the Columbus Manor Gang, (ha ha ) we all went to Simmons school and Oak Lawn High Together, We Had the Starlite Outdoor theater , just a couple of blocks from our home, We had our Friday nights, We had Fun, We Will again.

Phyllis was so very generous She was also the consummate hostess and I have many happy, and funny memories of family holiday dinners. Most of all she loved her family fiercely.
