Beverly A. Holmes, 80, of Huntley, died peacefully November 17, 2024 in her home.
Beverly was born December 3, 1943 to Arnold and Lois Proeber. On February 1, 1964 she was married to Robert F. Holmes. She worked as an accountant. Beverly was a talented seamstress, enjoyed gardening and was a wonderful baker. Her family and her grandchildren were her whole world and brought her joy. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Christopher (Kellie) Holmes and Roberta (Rodney) Peters. By her grandchildren, Jonathan, Michael(Christnia), Derek, and Kyle, great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Levi and Gregory. By her 3 step grandchildren and 7step great grandchildren. By her sisters, Vernie (the late Thomas) Lapak and Karen (Bob) Baumann. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents and sister Susie.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 3-6pm with a service at 6pm all at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.

Bev has been a wonderful neighbor and friend. We offer our deepest sympathies to the family. Bev will be sorely missed.
It was a shock to hear that my wonderful and fun cousin has gone to be with Jesus. We went from Kindergarten through high school together. It’s so comforting to know she just slept and then she was gone.

Bev was a great listener & had such a calming presence. Nothing ever seemed to rattle her. She loved her family & friends unconditionally. We had a lot of laughs working together back in the day. I don’t know that she realized what a great sense of humor she had. RIP my dear friend, I will miss you always
