Donna J. Hatter died peacefully, October 8, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin, Illinois.
Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at New Covenant Bible Church, 4N780 Randall Road (corner of Randall and Crane), St. Charles, Illinois. The funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m with burial in Huntley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to New Covenant Bible Church.
Donna was born April 6, 1940 near Greensburg, Missouri to Maillie and Edith Phillips. She received her elementary education at a one room country school in Missouri, graduating from High School. Following High School she married Dale Hatter, June 26, 1960 at Baring, Missouri and moved to Chicago where they had employment. They lived in Roselle, Illinois for 22 years before moving in 1999 to Sun City in Huntley, Illinois.
Donna was employed for seventeen years in Quality Control Department of Major Tool, Schaumburg, IL and Precision Molding, St. Charles, IL. She was a member of New Covenant Bible Church. She will be remembered by her water color greeting cards and the many dozens of cookies she has baked over the years for Jake, Craig and Nathan.
She is survived by her husband, Dale, of Huntley, daughter, Lecia (John) McNaughton of Geneva, son, Thomas (Annette) Hatter of Roselle; three grandsons, Jacob McNaughton, Craig Hatter and Nathan Hatter. She is also survived by her brother, Larry (Sharon) Phillips of Olathe, Kansas and by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Richard (Sharon) Hatter of Kirksville, Missouri and sister-in-law, Laverna (Cletus) Stone of Marion, Iowa. She is also survived by her very special friends, Esther Gathman and Richard Killian of Roselle, Illinois.
She is preceded in death by her parents and infant sister, Neva.

Our deepest condolences are with you this day. Donna was one of the sweetest, kindest people we were blessed to have known. We have wonderful memories of her over the years, including a memorable adventure in Europe that remains a favorite trip. Bill, Amy and family.
