Deborah “Debbie” Risselman, 65, of Huntley, died peacefully, November 16, 2024.
Debbie was born April 2, 1959 the daughter of Roy and Virginia Carlson. On May 21, 1983 she married James M. Risselman. Debbie enjoyed traveling to Cape Cod and gardening. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. Her fun and happy spirit will always be remembered.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Risselman, her children, Jen (Josh) Deinert, and Ryan (Erica) Risselman along with her grandchildren, Brinley, Jackson, Vivian, and Lincoln. She is also survived by her brothers, David (Michelle) Carlson and Jeff (Mary Jo) Carlson and by several nieces and nephews. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Visitation will be on Sunday, November 24, from 1-3pm with a service at 2:30pm all at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Although I have not seen Debbie in years, I have thought of her and Jim often. I think of all the dinners I had with you, bottles of wine and many laughs. I will always treasure the Christmas tree skirt she made me. Rest in peace Debbie.
