Eleanore R. Leuzzi,(Rupprecht) 90, of Algonquin, died peacefully, November 27, 2024.
Eleanore was born February 3, 1934, the daughter of Bernard and Josephine Rupprecht. On October 4, 1952 she married Peter L. Leuzzi. The couple have been together for 72 years.
Eleanore loved her family and her pets. She was a great baker and her favorite thing to make were her pumpkin bars and cake, these were loved by all. Eleanore was talented at making and painting ceramic pieces. She had a passion for many shoes and purses and never left the house without her hair and nails being done. Eleanore was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Peter Leuzzi, her children, Louis (Michelle) Leuzzi, JoAnne Leuzzi, Bernard “Skip” Leuzzi and Francene Robb, as well as her grandchildren, Charles, Kimberly, Talia, Dominique, Paul, Nicole, Scott and Lauren, and her great grandchildren, Chloe, Dylan, Gia, Fiona, Jade, Joseph, Lilliana, Riley and Lucas.
Eleanore was preceded in death by her daughter, Rosemarie Evenson and her son-in-law, Russell Robb.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 4-8pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Second visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 from 9am -10am with Mass beginning at 10am at St. Mary Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to any animal shelter of one’s choice.
