Obituary

Dorothea “Dotty” Daniels, 93 formerly of Wauconda and Huntley, passed away on Wednesday, October 9th at Centegra Hospital – McHenry, following a short illness.

She was born March 9, 1920 in Chicago, the daughter of Frank and Rose (Witbrot) Binkowski. She was united in marriage to Hillard Daniels on February 22, 1941 in Chicago where they made their home and raised their family. She worked for over 25 years in the Scientific Stores at the University of Illinois – Chicago campus until retiring in 1981. The couple had a lake home at White Potato Lake in Pound, Wisconsin and spent many entire summers there until returning to Chicago for the winter. She enjoyed fishing, was especially proud of her family and loved the special times of hosting family holiday dinners.

Dotty is survived by her daughter, Arlene Kohler of Arlington Heights, her sons, Tim Daniels of Algonquin and Ken (Kimberly) Walker-Daniels of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, her grandchildren, Mike, Jim, Audra, Kim, Katie and Kasie, her great-grandchildren, Jack & Jessica. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hill and her daughter-in-law, June.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 13th at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley, and on Monday October 14th from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. all at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, River Grove. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society

Dear Arlene, Tim & Ken, We wish we could be there in person to express our sincerest condolences for the loss of your Mom. She and your Dad were wonderful people and we cherished the many times we had the opportunity to be with them. May she rest in peace with God and may God be with all of you.

I'm not much of an artist, but those are fanisattc! I especially like the female face on the book...love when artists do their art on different mediums besides a canvas or sketch book!
