Obituary

Albert W. Nehart, 87 formerly of St. Charles, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2013 following a short illness.

He was born January 4, 1926 in Chicago, the son of Albert W. Nehart, Sr. and Marguerite Brisbois Nehart. Albert lived in Cicero and later Morton Grove where he raised his family and was employed as the town assessor. He served in the United States Navy in both WWII and the Korean War. Once his family was raised he moved to St. Charles and started an accounting firm and continued to maintain many of his clients up until recently. He was an active member of the American Legion, in 1970 was the Commander in Morton Grove and later was the Commander in St. Charles. He enjoyed golf, camping, taking cruises and traveling along with some time at the casino.

He is survived by his daughters, Loral Hahn of Florida, Sharon (Tony) Pagoria of Sandwich, Illinois, Nancy (Frank) Rubino of Huntley, his son, William (Michelle) Nehart of Minnesota, his grandchildren, Jeremy, Jackii, Kristofer, Maegan, CarLeigh, Natasha, Natalie, Danny & Emily, his 8 great-grandchildren and his wife, Darlene Erlandson. He is also survived by step-children, Craig (Bobbie) Cunnally, Karen (Joe) Niewinski, Carla Santschi, Kathie (Tony) Cunnally, Carol (Tom) Whittaker, Kristy (Mike) Norlander, step-grandchildren, Bob, Jon, Janelle, Joey, Ron, Phyllis, Jeana, Tiffany, Lindsay, Melissa, Janessa, Brianna and 11 step-great grandchildren. He will also be missed by his best friend from high school, Robert (Lyn) Manski of Lombard. He was preceded in death by wife, Ann (Cunnally) Nehart in 1996 and two grandsons, John Coyne and Jason Pagoria in 1988.

Private family services will be held at a later date at Bartlett Cemetery. The DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service of Huntley is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials in his name may be made to Honor Flights Chicago.
