Mary Ann E. Bucek, 83, of Huntley, died peacefully January 30, 2025.
Mary Ann was born on January 15, 1942 as the daughter of Michael and Mary Louise Salerno. On July 23, 1960 she married Robert S. Bucek. She worked as a receptionist for Wilson Sporting Goods. Maryann was a social butterfly and was an excellent cook. She enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, playing the slots and seeing shows. Her greatest joy was her family, spending time with them and enjoying good food. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Bucek, her children, Robert Bucek, Richard (Diane) Bucek and Melissa Bucek, by her grandson, Daniel Bucek. Also survived by her siblings, Micheline Kukowski and Anthony (Debbie) Salerno.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 9am until 10:00am with Mass being celebrated at 10am all at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be private at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
