Norma June Davis, 78 of Sun City, Huntley, Miss Austin High School of 1951, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family following a four year battle with breast cancer on Saturday, October 19th.
Norma was born December 18, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Arthur and Amalie Schimke. She married Lloyd Davis on October 8, 1955. She was a graduate of Austin High School and was very proud of the fact that she was Miss. Austin High School in 1951. She enjoyed dancing, reading and spending time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd, her children, Laura (Kevin) Clauss & Brian (Geri) Davis, her grandchildren, Brad, Kimmie (Adam), Kyle (Kari), & Lindsay, her great-grandson, Bennett and her brother, Russ (Shirley) Schimke.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22nd and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23rd all at Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church, 10805 E. Main Street, Huntley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
