Anthony “Tony” Bordignon, 80 of Huntley died peacefully at his home.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church- 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Mercy Home for Boys & Girls 1140 W. Jackson Blvd.Chicago , IL , 60607 or National Multiple Sclerosis Society 525 West Monroe Street ,Chicago, IL 60661.
Tony was born May 25, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Antonio and Theresa (Castellani) Bordignon. He married Janice S. Hayes on July 12, 1997. He owned and operated Franklin Park Plumbing until his retirement in 2004. Tony was an avid golfer and loyal Notre Dame Fan. He was a long time member of the Itasca Country Club and was a member of the plumber’s union for over 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Jan, his children, Laurie (Dan) McDermott, Kenneth Bordignon, John (Cherish ) Quinn, and Julie (Ed) Hapke. He is survived by his four grandchildren, Anna, Calum, Henry and Amelia and by his brother Robert (Linda) Bordignon and by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Georgine Zalewski.

Sorry to hear about Tony. He was a great guy. I have many fond memories of him from all the golf we played at Itasca C.C.

Tony was a great and dear friend and an old family friend. It is sad to see so many of our older generation of family and friends leaving us. My condolences to the family.
