Obituary

Noelia “Yvi” Yvonne Lymberopoulos, 38, of Chicago, IL, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025.

She was born on February 13, 1987 in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up in Lake in the Hills, Illinois. She married Kostas “Gus” Lymberopoulos on November 18, 2015. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2022. Although she moved all around the United States throughout her life, she always thought of Lake in the Hills as home.

Growing up, Yvi was known as “Evil Knievel” for her daredevil attitude. She was the embodiment of fearlessness. Regardless of the situation, she always found a way to face life head on, no matter how frightening the situation may have been. She was as beautiful as she was courageous, and had a talent for writing poetry. Above all, Yvi will be remembered as a loving wife and mother. She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.

Yvi is survived by her parents, Russell and Angelia Desimone; her three children, Bianca Jade Kobeszko, Nicholas James Little-Desimone, and Emma Joy Kobeszko; her siblings, Angilique Uriostegui, Joseph Desimone, and Candice Jaeger; and a grandmother, Grace Desimone.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 1pm until time of prayer service at 4pm, at DeFiore Funeral Home – 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley, Illinois 60142. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.

Even though after high school we didn’t see much of each other as life had us in different directions, I knew her since we were babies and lost touch until the family moved to Lake in the Hills and we ran into each other again in high school! She was a beautiful person inside and out, she was caring & fierce. She will truly be missed by many! May God be with her family during this time! Prayers for all of them. May she rest In peace!

I am heartbroken by the loss of Yvi. She had a heart of gold and a fearless spirit that lit up the lives of everyone around her. She loved with a depth and intensity that was truly rare, and to be loved by her was to know something profound and life-changing. Her kindness, her courage, and the way she made the world brighter will never be forgotten. My heart goes out to all who knew and loved her—this is an unimaginable loss.

Yvi had a beautiful soul. I got to know her when she’d come in at my job, when we talked she always mentioned her kids and how proud she was of all of them. Always very respectful and always looking at the brighter side of things. Even when going through things she made an effort to make me smile and give me compliments, they meant more than I was able to tell her. I will never forget how kind, smart, and loving she was. I don’t know her long but I’ll miss her stopping by and talking, I’m very sorry for your loss. Yvi will live on in the many people that got to know her and I hope her kids know that their mom was so so proud of them and that she always light up when talking about them.
