Caroline F. Eberle, 95, of Algonquin, formerly of Huntley, died peacefully March 21, 2025 with her family by her side.
Caroline was born on September 5, 1929, the daughter of Anthony and Anna (Lutenski) Scala. On April 23, 1949 she married Glenn J. Eberle. After her children were in school, she began working at UOP both as a secretary and manager. She and Glenn enjoyed traveling, boating on the Fox River and spending time in Captiva, Florida. Caroline always cared about people and went out of her way to help people in need. She enjoyed celebrating family traditions, especially Christmas Eve and always welcomed everyone to the table. She was an avid reader, enjoyed bunco, bingo and was active were ever she lived. She was a member of St. Mary Church. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Scot (Mary Beth) Eberle, her daughter, Lynn Eberle Drag, and by her grandchildren, Grant, Erin, Glenn and Kaylin and by several nieces and nephews. Caroline was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, her children, Glenn, Bruce and Lori-Ann and by her brother, Anthony.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 4-7pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 27, 2025, 10am at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be at St. Michael the Arch Angel Cemetery in Palatine. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to JourneyCare Hospice in Barrington.

She and Glen were special people Mrs E always called me Vinny and made me feel like part of the family she was blessed to have such great kids and live surrounded by family who loved her. She will be missed!
