Imelda Werner, 54, of Huntley, IL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 23, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born on August 6, 1970 in County Mayo in Ireland, to Patrick and Kathleen (Cafferky) Reilly. She married the love of her life, Dr. Roy Karl Werner, on August 19, 2001 in Palos Heights, Illinois. He survives.
The couple called Huntley home for the last 18 years. Imelda was a devoted wife, mother, and sister. She always looked forward to a visit from relatives in Ireland, and enjoyed a good bowl of potato soup. She was deeply loved by all who knew her, and will be doubly missed.
In addition to her husband, Imelda is survived by her children, Jordan Werner and Karl Werner; and her siblings, Mary (Pat) O’Donnell, Michael Reilly, Anne Reilly, John Reilly, Kathleen (Kevin) Guthrie, Patricia (Gerry) Haynes, Irene (Brendon) Dannon, Angela (Bob) Wagner, Ita Reilly, PJ (Kyle) Reilly, and Edmund (Barbara) Reilly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Kathleen Reilly; and her sister, Sheila (John) McGirl.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 9:00am until time of Mass at 11:00am, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntley, Illinois. A graveside service will immediately follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine, Illinois.

Very hard to accept you are gone. It's been a difficult road for you the past few years. I remember you always being around when I was little and visiting you as soon as I got my driver's license, even coming to Detroit and Iowa when you were living there.
