Louise “Pat” Bergquist (formerly Berenda), 93, of Fox River Grove, Illinois, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, two days before her 94th Birthday.
She was born on May 1, 1931 in Chicago Illinois to Joseph and Loretta Berenda. She married Thor Bergquist in Chicago, Illinois on July 4, 1951. After her husband's passing in 2006, Pat moved to Fox River Grove, where she spent her last 18 years in her home that she dearly loved.
Pat was an avid bowler most of her life, as well as a die-hard Cubs fan. She had a deep love for animals, especially her dog, Tinker. She supported and sponsored animals of all kinds through many various charities. In her spare time she enjoyed her daily crossword puzzles and rarely missed watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She was well loved by her friends and family and she will be deeply missed.
Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children: Patricia Colins, Susan (Ray) Strom, Kathy Heim and Thor III. Her grandchildren: Timothy, Sarah, Matthew, Lauren, Erik, Braede, Jessica and the late Jeffery. Her great-grandchildren: Colin, Reid, Braeden, Josua, Norah, Ellie, Owen, Macallan and Aria Rose, who is expected this coming July.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her beloved sister, Carol and her brother Bob.

I have so many wonderful childhood memories spent at your house in Chicago! One that sticks out the most was getting together with family and having your wonderful pork roast with dumplings and your famous sweet and sour cabbage! Going to Auntie Pats was always so much fun!
