Anthony “Tony” Masi, 20, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 30, 2013.
He was born June 23, 1993 in Park Ridge, Illinois, the son of Gerald Masi and Susan Artinghelli. He graduated from Huntley High School in 2011 and continued to make his home in the area. He was kind hearted and loved his nephews very much, was known for his baby blue eyes and loved animals, the #1 fan of the Black Hawks and the Bulls. Tony was a comic, he had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh and could put them at ease and make a friend in a matter of minutes.
He is survived by his mother, Susan Artinghelli of Chicago, his father, Gerald (Melanie) Masi of Murrieta, California, his siblings, Sandi Altergott and Kristine (Jeff) Sharin both of Huntley, Mike (Carm) Blaha and Tim (Tanya) Blaha of Chicago, Joey Masi of California, Angela Masi of Crystal Lake, Nicolas Masi & Gabriella Masi of California, his nephews, Brandon, Andrew & Evan Altergott, Tyler, Dylan & Gianni Blaha and Mason Sharin, his grandparents, Dominick Masi of Iowa & Joan & John Artinghelli of Elgin, his girlfriend, Narahlee Rios of Lake In The Hills and several aunts, uncles & cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Anna Marie Nothnagel.
Visitation will be from 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Monday, November 4th at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Tony Masi Memorial Fund.

There are no words that can ever be said that can take away your pain. My wish for all of you - is that one day soon, the loving and fond memories you have of the time Tony was here, will overshadow the pain of your loss. He was a nice young man and he will be missed.
Tony will be remembered for the great guy that he was, his good nature, great sense of humor, and the life of the party that made times together so much fun. We will surely miss the presence of a truly lovable and kind person. We extend our deepest sympathy to his entire family.
