Nereo, please don't look back at us and see our sadness. I don't want our sadness to become you sadness. Please look forward and smile to see your son Nick. Please look forward to and embrace your mother, father, and your baby sister, Anna. Show them all that smile that has made your family and the world love you. As I walk each day, I will always look for your presence. I love you, you will always be my big brother
So sorry for your loss. I will keep your family in my prayers.
Nereo and I met in September 1967. We were together since our first date. Nereo had an infectious smile that lit up a room. Nereo was a man with many stories to tell. Everyone loved my Nereo. He was a people person. We were fortunate to travel to his hometown of Portogruro, Italy several times. The whole town knew when Nereo and I were there. The people became our Italian family. Nereo drove from the north Venezia Julia to the south of Sicily. Many beautiful towns. We always stayed Where the locals lived and ate in the small towns. The lifestyle was different from our American way of living. We visited several times. Nereo an I were together for 56 years. I would like to do it all over again, but at a slower pace. How did we reach our senior years and so fast. Nereo said he knew when we first met that I was the one for him. And thru the years Nereo would say Libby it’s always you an me. We were so blessed to have met each other, raise our family, an be together for 57 years. Love and hugs always and forever, your Libby.
