Thomas B. Carver, 90, of Huntley, formerly of Des Plaines, died peacefully on June 25, 2025 with his family by his side.
Thomas was born on October 19, 1934 in Chicago. He served in the United States Army. On April 26, 1958, he married his high school sweetheart, Evelyn V. Eggert. He worked for Klein Tools for over 35 years. He enjoyed summers at the family lake house in Green Lake, Wisconsin. Thomas was a big sports fan, always rooting for the Chicago White Sox, Notre Dame football, and Chicago Bears. He enjoyed reading and fishing, but his greatest joy in life was his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. Tom’s family motto was “love, love, love”! You couldn’t talk to Tom without him reminding you how much he “love, love, loves” you.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, his daughter, Julie (Steven) Wenk by his grandchildren, Jessica (Javier) Salgado, William (Jamie) Wenk, Kristina (Austin Swanson) Wenk, great grandchildren, Miles, Bennett and Taylor, and by many nieces and nephews.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Anne, Fran, and Jane and by his brother, Buddy.
Visitation will be held on Monday June 30, 2025 from 4-7pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 10am at St. Mary Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley, IL.
