Marilyn D. Bottiglieri, 85 of Algonquin, passed away at her home on Thursday morning, November 7, 2013 following a lengthy illness.
She was born September 22, 1928 in Chicago, the daughter of Michael and Rose (Marinello) Padula. She was united in marriage to John Bottiglieri on October 10, 1948 in Chicago. The couple made their home in Bellwood and later Arlington Heights. Following her husband’s death, she moved to Schaumburg and in 2004 to Algonquin. She loved her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She liked to travel, shop, and cooking for her family. She was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Huntley.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Jane (John) Petrone of Lake In The Hills, her sons, Frank (Jeanette) Bottiglieri of Bartlett and John (Janice) Bottiglieri of Schaumburg, her grandchildren, Jeninne (Phil) Barone, Joe (Andrea) Petrone, Jacob, Jaclyn & Michael Bottiglieri, her great-grandchildren, Dante, Niko, Gino, Dominic, Jori, Haley & Anthony, her brothers, Tony Padula of Itasca, Gene Padula of Melrose Park and her sister, Marge Perrone of Pingree Grove. She was preceded in death by her husband, John and brothers, Rocco & Bill.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 10th at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Entombment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
