Palma U. Gentile,"Pam" 90, of Huntley, died peacefully August 3, 2025.
Palma was born April 14, 1935 in Chicago, the daughter of Ralph and Antionette Varchetto. In 1956 she married Sam J. Gentile. Palma worked at St. Paul Federated Bank and later West Suburban Bank. Palma was always social and full of life and remained active at Del Webb. She was an amazing cook and took great joy in spending time with family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Dr.Jeffrey (Eileen) Gentile, Julie (Jim) Gradishar and David (Wendy) Gentile, by her five granddaughters, Emma, Jamie, Erin, Ellen and Kelli. Palma was preceded in death by her husband, Sam, and her siblings, Tony, Ralph and Josephine.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 9-10am with Mass at 10am all at St. Mary Catholic Church -10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. The burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Masses may be said in her name.
