Obituary

James C. Brubaker, 84 of Huntley passed away on Tuesday evening, November 12, 2013 in Elgin following a lengthy illness.

He was born September 9, 1929 in Freeport, Illinois the son of Ray L. and Ella (Janicke) Brubaker. He was raised and educated in Freeport and then enlisted in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Lillian K. Kutsus on October 15, 1949. The couple made their home in Freeport and later Elmhurst where Jim worked as a field agent for Economy Fire & Casualty Company. In 2007 the couple moved to Huntley and he enjoyed fishing in his retirement.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Lillian of Huntley, his sons, Steven W. Brubaker of Roselle, Jeffery O. (Lisa) Locke-Brubaker of Hatboro, Pennsylvania, his daughters, Alison K. (Rollin) Kindig of White Oak, Texas and Leslie A. (Marc) Cullerton of Muscoda, Wisconsin, his grandchildren, William, Katherine, Katherine, Kelly(Paul), Amy, Tracy, Marc & Kylie, also his cousins, Jack Packard of Rockford & Jean Schneider of Freeport.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 25, 2013 with visitation after 10:00 a.m. at St. Hugh of Lincoln Episcopal Church, 36W957 Highland Avenue (Southeast corner of Randall & Highland) in Elgin. Memorials in his name may be made to the church.

Lillian, So sorry for your loss. Jean and I will be at the service to express our deep sympathy, and to say good bye to a good friend who I regarded as my brother. We had many good times growing up together. Jack
