Marilyn Forti, 85, of Lake In The Hills, passed away peacefully at her residence on August 12, 2025.
She was born on December 29, 1939 in Ottawa, Illinois to Stephen and Gertrude (Wolderczak) Skolek. She married Robert Forti, who preceded her in death. Marilyn worked as a Registered Nurse until her retirement.
She is survived by her children, Robert S. (Diane) Forti, and Carrie A. (Kevin) Quinn; her grandchildren, Andrew Forti, Teigan Quinn, and Brody Quinn; and three great-grandchildren, Capriza, Rosetta, and Ryder.
In addition to her husband and parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Craddock.
DeFiore Funeral Home has been trusted with arrangements. Private inurnment will be held at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Huntley at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Ovarian Cancer Foundation.
