Obituary

Lynda V. Jordan, 77, of Woodstock, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was a kind, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Lynda was born on April 3, 1948, in Rochester, Minnesota, to Walter and Dionysia Haack. In 1968, she married Gerard Jordan, with whom she shared many years of happiness until his passing. Lynda found joy in the simple things in life, including craft shows, shopping, cooking, and listening to music. But her greatest joy was always her family, especially spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
Lynda is survived by her two children, Anthony “Tony” (Molly) Jordan and Douglas Jordan, and her grandchildren, Bradyn and Victoria. She is also survived by her sister, Marjo (Dan) Green, and her sister-in-law, Mary Lou (Ed) Rauen.
Lynda was preceded in death by her husband, Gerard Jordan, and her brother, James Haack, brother-in-laws Paul Jordan, David (Pat) Jordan, Jack (Sandy) Jordan, Dick Jordan and sister-in-law Jean (Sonny) Golberg.
A funeral mass will be held to honor Lynda's memory at 10:30am on Friday, October 3rd at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 312 Lincoln Ave, Woodstock, IL 60098. Following the service there will be a luncheon at Oliver's Bar and Grill, 228 Main St., Woodstock, IL 60098.

We are sorry to hear of Lynda’s passing. Our deepest sympathies are with you all. Our family has so many fond memories of visiting with your family in Woodstock. Lynda always planned so many fun activities in the area. She was an amazing hostess. Unfortunately, most of the time, she was not able to stay one step ahead of Jug and Jim’s shenanigans. Ufda what great times! Jim and Marsha Jordan. family.
