Very sad to hear of the passing of my dear sister Marger. I think of all the ways in which she enhanced our lives. As a small boy in the 1950's I can remember calling her each night to come to my bedroom and tuck me in (wrap my bedclothes around me) which she did and I would sail away in to lala land. How Sheila and I shared many vacations with Marger and Wolf and her family Dave Heidi Jeff and Linda. Grand tour of Italy (1996) when we all (including Marger) climbed to the top of Mount Vesuvius. Donegal Ireland 1983, orienteering, crawling through mud. rivers and drainpipes and having great fun. Yes we had great times with Marger and her great husband Wolf over the years. May she rest in peace.
I really wish, I could be there to say goodbye to Auntie Marger. Many of us cannot make the journey, but we will be there with you all in spirit and are thinking of you all. Loiss words really resonated with me. Beyond being kind and gentle, I am sure most of my cousins would also agree, Auntie Marger really did have a wonderful way of engaging children. I always felt immediately at ease with Auntie Marger, and enjoyed how fun loving she was. I am grateful to both Auntie Marger and Uncle Wolf for staying so regularly in touch with our family, for all the visits to us in Ireland, and opening the house to us in Chicago as guests, and for the countless fun and rich memories, that made me feel part of a huge family from the card games, to the line dancing, the Birthday bashes, bbqs and family picnics, the Montello trips and trips around Ireland. To a wonderful woman, who is very much cherished and will be missed. Rest in peace.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of my sister Alice Marguerite, may she rest in peace. Condolences to Wolf,Heidi,Linda,Jeff and Dave and the extended families and grandchildren.
With love and remembrance to my dear sister, Marger. She is no longer suffering and in a better place now. Our thoughts and prayers are with Wolf, Heidi, Dave, Linda, Jeff and extended family during this difficult time. Her memory will always be in our hearts.
What can I say about my sister Marger that hasn't been said before. To me she was my loving sister and a very dear friend. We had so many wonderful times together on trips and famous Fish Fry dinner outings that mostly ended with a game of dice and a cup of tea to round out our evening. I loved her very much and I will be missing her greatly. My husband, Ed and our family send our condolences to Wolf and family at this sad time.
Wolf, Jeff, Dave & Family I'm so sorry to hear of Margie's passing (Mrs. Hausner as I always addressed her, because I alway's had great respect for her). She was a good lady...and she was a good Irishman! Your in mine and my family's prayers. May God hold you all in the palm His hands.
I have such fond memories of my beloved sister Marger. All the times herself and Wolf and their family, came to Ireland on vacation, and with my children, Des, Bernie, Anne, Toe, Irene and Robert joined them on very happy Picnics to Marley Park and Powerscourt. Marger was always smiling and witty, and one of my greatest memories of her in recent years was our reunion in 2003 in Chicago when us six sisters sang our favourite song 'SISTERS! I will miss you my dear sister Marger, and my children and I share in the grief of Wolf and your children Heidi, David, Jeff and Linda and all your extended family. Marger some words of the poem you once thought me, The reaper. "Alone she cuts and binds the grain" Sleep in peace Marger
My thoughts, prayers and condolences are with Uncle Wolf, Heidi, David, Linda, Jeff, their extended family and friends. Please know that I hold all of you in my heart during this time, and I wish that I could be there with everyone in person to pay my respects in remembering Auntie Marger. She was a truly amazing woman who I adored my entire life. Auntie Marger was larger-than-life to me, but also humble and kind and so very witty. She was sensitive, a great listener and great fun. We laugh a lot when we are around her. I also thought that she was beautiful, down-to-earth and so gracious. I had the privilege of growing up with her family, and spending holidays with the Hausners. Endless games of dice, cups of tea, strolls at White Lake Beach, Christmas dinners, weddings, reunions and other events in Ireland. I have always been my mother's "shadow", and in doing so, have had the opportunity to know Auntie Marger as a woman. She raised a beautiful, strong family - and was part of a couple with Uncle Wolf that Ihave always aspired to replicate. May God Bless you, keep you well and rest your spirit. God speed and much love, Tara and Gabriele
