Linda Ann Koonce, 55, of Schaumburg, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025.
Born on April 30, 1970, in Chicago, Illinois, Linda was the beloved daughter of the late Phillip and Geraldine Koonce. She was known for her warm heart, adventurous spirit, and deep love of the outdoors. Linda cherished her travels and especially adored spending time with her faithful Jack Russell Terrier, Odie. Linda loved spending time with her partner Derek, they were both devoted to each other.
A loving daughter, sister, cousin, and friend, Linda brought kindness and joy to those around her and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her devoted brother, John Koonce; her loving partner, Derek Winn; and her cousins, John Koonce, Gail Seblick, Christine Vezosa, Eileen Braski, Kathy Borowaik, and Steven DeLonka. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., all at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley, IL.
Linda will be laid to rest at White Family Cemetery in Wake Forest, North Carolina.
