Genevieve J. Rybicki, 97 of Huntley, passed away on Wednesday morning, December 4, 2013, at the Rosewood Care Center in Elgin following a short illness.
She was born December 13, 1915 in Chicago, the daughter of John and Mary (Gulik) Porwicz. She was united in marriage to Eugene Rybicki on February 26, 1938 and the couple made their home in Chicago where she raised her family and volunteered in many ways helping others. In 2010 she moved to Huntley.
She is survived by her daughter, Gloria (David) Kittelson of Huntley, her son, Lawrence (Phyllis) Rybicki of Chesterfield, Missouri, her daughter-in-law, Trudy Rybicki of Melrose Park, her grandchildren, Michael, Troy, Grant & Trent Rybicki, Kristin Kittelson & Britny Stanley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, son, Ronald and her grandson, Mark.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 6, 2013 in the Main Chapel at the Mausoleum in All Saints Catholic Cemetery, 700 N. River Road, Des Plaines, Illinois 60016.
