Aaron J. Samson, 73, of Huntley, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born October 17, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, Aaron was the son of Frank and Rose Marie Samson. A dedicated student, he graduated high school as Valedictorian before going on to earn both his college and master’s degrees in mathematics. He built a successful career as a Business Analyst, where his analytical mind and thoughtful approach were deeply valued.
Aaron found great joy in the simple beauty of nature. He loved taking long walks outdoors, feeding the squirrels, and caring for all kinds of animals. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and a proud collector of Pez dispensers. Above all, Aaron cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew him.
Aaron is survived by his beloved wife, Cathryn Samson; his children, Carlo (Melanie) Tamayo, Kimberly (Rob) Stiles, Brittany Samson, and Bryan Samson; and his grandchildren, Nate and Guin Stiles. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Jennifer Samson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley, with a service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Huntley Cemetery.
