
Master Sergeant Ralph Lowe, age 89, of Marengo IL, formerly of Huntley, IL died peacefully October 31, 2025 with his family by his side.
Ralph was born October 19, 1936 and grew up on a farm in Connecticut. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 20 years. During his career, He served in Vietnam and the Korean Conflict. Ralph was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. After retiring, he worked 35 years in private aviation. He loved everything to do with aviation and bowling in leagues with his friends.
Ralph is survived by his wife and best friend, Dorothy (Dottie). He leaves five children: Ken Pettit (Ann), Cheryl Pettit, Linda Zielinski, Dodie (Carl) Wzorek and Tammy Zabik. Ten grandchildren: Zachary (Kay), Marissa, Gina, Jimmy, Angie, Nicole (Dylan), Chrissy, Lexie (Shane), Tory (Ann) and Andrew. Seven great grandchildren: Jonny, Aiden, Colby, Oakley, Mia, Everly and Jasper. His sisters Barbara Rieger and Carole Erdman. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Andrew and Helen and his brothers, Ronald and Andrew.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 9am until 10am with the Mass beginning at 10am all at St. Mary Catholic Church: 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Family and Friends are invited to a luncheon at Church, immediately following Mass.
