Martin “Mitty” B. Keany, 86, of Huntley, died peacefully, December 3, 2025 at his home with his family by his side.
Martin was born December 31, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Hugh and Nora Keany. He served in the United States Army. On October 10, 1964 he married Sandra A. Mazzanti. Mitty was hard working and would give anyone the shirt off of his back, he was always helping others. He had a smile that could light up any room. He was a man of great faith. Mitty was an avid golfer and enjoyed exercising. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy, his children, Timothy Keany, Maribeth (Frank) Wiltgen, Kathleen (Dave) Muellner and Michael Keany, by his grandchildren, Meagan, Morgan, Ryan, Sean, Bryce and Danny and by his great grandchild, Kyler. Mitty is also survived by his brother, Eugene (Theresa) Keany and by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Rosemary (Eugene), Michael (Cand) and Kathleen (Joseph)
Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 9am to 10am with Mass being celebrated at 10am all at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Marty was always a happy smiling guy! Every time I hit a golf ball and it stops 1 inche from going into the cup I pick it up and say, "THAT'S A MARTY KEANY GIMMIE!"
