Mary S. Stefaniw, 77, of Huntley, died peacefully, December 4, 2025 with her family by her side.
She was born on October 18, 1948, the daughter of Izidor and Emily Horozanskyj. In 1968 she married Bohdan Stefaniw. Mary’s greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid Blackhawks fan; she enjoyed shopping and finding a good bargain. She loved her beloved dog Mishu. She was a loving mother, Nana and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Stephanie (Joe) Blazen, Jackie (Brian) Hendenski, and Kathy Stefaniw. By her grandchildren, Olivia, Zach, Jacob, and Emily. She is also survived by her sister, Anna Riojas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and by her brother, John.
A Catholic Prayer service will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025 at 11am at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
