CaSandra L. Reicher, 52, of Algonquin, passed away peacefully at her home on December 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
CaSandra was born on July 18, 1973, in Franklin Park, Illinois, the daughter of Donald and Lillian (David) Meyer. On September 25, 1999, she married Timothy J. Reicher, whom she had met while attending Northern Illinois University. She worked as a talented graphic designer and brought creativity and passion to everything she did.
A true fitness enthusiast, CaSandra was a dedicated marathon runner. She enjoyed home decorating and had a special love for sunsets, beaches, and margaritas—and she was proudly a Jimmy Buffett fan. Her greatest joy, however, was her husband and her daughters. Whatever CaSandra committed herself to, she gave her whole heart. She was kind, caring, thoughtful, and made the world a brighter place simply by being in it. her greatest joys were simple pleasures, like watching her daughters compete in their many sports or spending time in the back yard with dear friends.
She did not love being the center of attention, her pride would beam through when ever speaking of her daughters. They will always be what she considers her greatest gift and achievement. She was a person who took charge and was very driven. She was creative and handy and would do many DIY projects.
CaSandra bravely fought a four-year battle with lung cancer—a battle she approached with courage, strength, and determination far beyond what doctors thought possible. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, remembered for her zest for life and for always putting others before herself.
CaSandra is survived by her husband, Timothy Reicher; her daughters, Marley and Marina; her parents, Don (Sharon) Meyer and Lil (John Sr.) Zolen; and her siblings, Rich (Debbie) Meyer, Mark (Lori) Zolen, Steve (Leigh) Zolen, Johnny Zolen Jr., Amy Meyer and Jennifer Schimmel. She is also survived by her cherished nieces and nephews: Kendall, Kurt, Shannon, Zach, Mackenzie, Rogan, Rylan, Alex, and Ashley. And by brother in law and sister in law Josh and Eileen Reicher and Father in law Rick Reicher.

I went to elementary school and high school with CaSandra. I remember the elementary school days and playing "Grease" at her house in Tomahawk Park. In high school I remember her as a very caring and loyal friend. I deeply regret not reconnecting years ago when I learned of her illness as I was on my own journey with cancer (and still am). I will cherish the childhood memories. My most heartfelt condolences to her family amd friends. You will be in my prayers.
Tim I am so sorry for your loss. I am thinking of you and your girls at this difficult time.
Words cannot express our sadness. I first met CaSandra in fighting over the 8am childcare time-slot to be the first at the gym. Over the years CaSandra was a friend who was always available and up for almost anything. She was a friend that if we hadn’t talked for months I knew I could call her and we would pick up right where we left off. Whether it was about decorating or redecorating, talking about our kids or meeting up for a coffee or walk and sometimes both! She was a friend we could just laugh at each other and ourselves. She will truly be missed! Tim, you and the girls are in our thoughts and prayers.
My deepest condolences to Tim, Marley, and Marina. I went to high school with your mom, and no matter how much time had passed, we always picked up right where we left off, as if no time had gone by at all. She had such a kind heart and a beautiful soul. I feel so grateful to have known her. She will be deeply missed.
It has been a long time since I've seen CaSandra and hearing of this news brings me back to the memories I have of her. She was always pleasant to be around and I saw that Tim had found his true love with her. God bless her and the family that surrounds her.

I didn’t know Cass long, however, it felt like I knew her forever, since the first day we met. She was the easiest person to care for and love right from the beginning. She cared for everyone else first and foremost, and wore her heart on her sleeve. She was one of the kindest, most genuine and caring people I’ve ever met, and although our friendship wasn’t long, I am so grateful that we met. I am forever changed by her presence and the effervescence of her spirit and soul. She was beautiful in every way. She was an angel here on earth. She will be so missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to her husband and daughters and family.
