Vincent M. Petryniec,52, of Huntley, Illinois, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025, with family by his side.
He was born on April 6, 1973, in Chicago, Illinois to Michael and Mary Ellen (DeLeo) Petryniec. Vince grew up in Streamwood, Illinois, where his quick wit, strong opinions, and unmistakable personality were already on full display. He was a man who loved deeply and lived passionately, especially when it came to the things that brought him joy.
An avid animal lover, Vince had a special place in his heart for all animals especially his dogs and cats. He was a loving uncle who took immense pride in his nieces and nephew, always ready to share stories, laughs, and spirited debates. Family meant a lot to him, and his presence will be missed at every gathering.
Vince found great pleasure in traveling to Las Vegas, where he enjoyed playing poker and testing both his luck and his skill at the tables. Music was another great love in Vince's life. He enjoyed all kinds of music and especially loved karaoke, never missing an opportunity to grab a microphone and entertain those around him. A devoted Chicago Cubs fan, Vince remained loyal through every season, celebrating victories and enduring losses with unwavering dedication.
Vince is survived by his loving mother, Mary Ellen Petryniec; his brother, Joe (Julie) Petryniec; his cherished nieces, Jordan and Jenna; his beloved nephew, Joey; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, all of whom will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Vince was preceded in death by his father, Michael Petryniec.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 9 a.m. until time of Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church - 10307 Dundee-Huntley Rd. Huntley, IL 60142. Inurnment will immediately follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Huntley Animal House Shelter 13005 Ernesti Rd, Huntley, IL 60142
