Carol was born on September 14, 1945, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, the beloved daughter of Harold and Anne (Bedner) Nevins. On December 26, 1972, she married Raymond DeLuca. The two met at the Sears where they both worked, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with love, dedication, and shared memories.
Carol worked as an accountant at Algonquin State Bank until her retirement. She took great pride in her work and was admired for her reliability, kindness, and strong work ethic.
After retiring, Carol became very active in the Del Webb Community, where she enjoyed playing mahjong and cards, and especially treasured time spent visiting with neighbors and friends. It was a place she truly loved and where she built meaningful connections. Her Catholic Faith was very special and important to her.
Carol also had a special gift for helping others. She started learning Polish to assist people in locating records, combining her language skills with her deep interest in genealogy. She found great joy in researching family histories and supporting others on their own journeys of discovery. Above all, Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her warmth, generosity, and quiet strength touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
