Robert A. DeCore, 87, of Huntley, died peacefully, April 7, 2026.
He was born on June 14, 1938 in Chicago, the son of Ulderico and Eva (Ciancio) DeCore. He met his wife, Donna, she was 13 and they have been sweethearts ever since. They married on June 28, 1958. They made their home first in Chicago and then Elk Grove Village where they raised their family. They moved to Sun City Del Webb, Huntley. They also bought a home in Florida and enjoyed many winters in Fort Myers, Florida. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Terry (David) Baker, Scott (Carol) DeCore, Rob (Tina) DeCore, and Jeff (Darla) DeCore, his grandchildren, Shannon, Amanda (AJ), Bobby, Ashley(Tommy), Carley (Jake), Hailey, Brooklynn, Austin, Madison and Jackson. Great grandchildren, James, Levi, TJ and Mia. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Donna and brothers, Fred and Don.
Visitation will be on Saturday, April 11 from 3:00 – 6:00 pm. with a service at 6pm at the DeFiore Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to JourneyCare Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
