Ronald L. Schofield, 89, of Huntley, IL, died on April 16, 2026. Born to Raymond and Ann Schofield on May 20, 1936 in Chicago, IL.
Beloved husband of Janice (nee Chrabasz). Devoted father of Laura (Seamus), Dan (Nancy), and Tim (Kari). Loving grandpa of Nora, Conor, Randi (fiancé Brandon), Ryan, and Adam (fiancee Crystal). Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Friend of Bill W. for 48 years.
Preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings and their spouses: Ray (Maxine), Gene (Etta), Lorraine, Virginia (Chris), Larry (Gerry), Pat (Ray), and Bob (Pat). Ron was a caring and kind man, proud of his family, Catholic faith, and Irish heritage. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know him. Visitation,Thursday, April 30, 2026 9-10am at St. Mary followed by funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Rd., Huntley, IL.
