Virginia "Ginger" D'Agostino, born September 18, 1944, in Chicago, IL died peacefully on April 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her children, Donna (Timothy) Klehr, and Chris (Kristin) D'Agostino; her grandchildren, Alyssa, Andrea, Joey (Shea), and Gina; and great grandson, Michael. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Samuel D’Agostino; her parents, Christopher and Daria Sylvester.

Ginger’s passions in life were sewing, golfing, and cooking and baking for those she loved. She also enjoyed spending winters in Florida, reading, and shopping with “her girls”. Above all, Ginger was happiest while spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Visitation will Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 3-6 p.m. at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. Mass will be Monday, May 4, 2026, at 10 a.m. with a visitation an hour prior, all at St. Mary Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley.
Entombment to follow mass at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1400 S. Wolf Road, Hillside.

Ginger was in a class all her own. She fought her battle with dignity and courage. I was proud to call her my friend. I will miss her. May she rest in God's heavenly peace. My sincerest sympathies to all of her beloved family.
