Irene A. Waller, 77, of Lake in the Hills, died peacefully May 6, 2026 with her family by her side.
Irene was born April 24, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Alex and Genevieve Rams. On October 23, 1971 she married John E. Waller. She worked at Chase bank in customer service. Irene was an amazing cook, she enjoyed traveling especially trips to Hawaii, her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, John Waller, by her sons, Scott (Laura LoCoco) Waller and Kenneth Waller, by her sister, Rosemary (Scott) Gibbons and her nieces Heidi Gibbons, Amy Modesto, Kelly Van Dyke, and her nephew Erik Gibbons.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother, George.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 8, 206 from 4-7pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral service will be held 10am on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the funeral home. Entombment will be at St. Michael the Arch Angel Cemetery in Palatine.
