Margarete Harmon, 90, of Huntley, died peacefully May 17, 2026 with her family by her side.
Margarete was born October 1, 1935 in Germany the daughter of Adolph and Ana Mann. In 1955 she married the light of her life, Roy Harmon. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was an amazing mother who took care of others, she enjoyed reading, travel and tending to her garden.
Margarete was preceded in death by her husband Roy Lorn Harmon, II, her son, Roy III and daughter, Rita Jean Parker, her siblings, Franze, and Anna Maria and grandson, Paul. She is survived by her daughters Maria Diane Pillat (Mark) of Dallas, Georgia, and Ann Margaret Peacock (Mike) of Huntley, Illinois, by her grandchildren: Matthew, Sarah, Lee Ann, Lauren and Dan; her great-grandchildren: Alexandria, Mitchell, Isaac, Sophia, Willow, Cadence, and Ophelia.
