Farreline Oxby, 92, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026 with family by her side. She was born on August 28, 1933.
On April 4, 1953, Farreline married Victor Oxby in Spurgeon, Indiana. Together they shared 71 years of marriage before Victor’s passing in 2024. They were longtime residents of Blue Mound, Illinois, before moving to the Huntley area to be closer to their son, Mike.
Farreline was a devoted member of the Blue Mound United Methodist Church. She was well known in the community as the head cook for the Blue Mound School for many years, where she touched the lives of countless students and staff through her care and dedication.
She is survived by her sons, Michael (Marilyn) Oxby and Roger (Susan) Oxby; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Victor Oxby; her daughter, Linda Oxby; and her brothers, Kermit and Kenneth Hunley.
Private services will be held at a future date.
