Rose Sandra Spencer, born March 26, 1940 died on January 16, 2014. Loving mother of Ian (Carol) Spencer and the late Frederick Spencer. Proud Grandmother to Freddy. She is also survived by 2 brothers and 3 sisters and numerous family and friends.
In her early years, she worked at the Book-Cadillac Hotel as an Elevator Operator. She was a professional manicurist working at many locations in Detroit and the Grosse Pointe area. She retired from St. John’s Hospital in food service and her final position as a manicurist was at the Greenhouse Salon in Grosse Pointe Farms.
Visitation will be held at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI on Thursday from 12-9pm and Friday 12-9pm with a rosary at 7pm and Saturday 10-11am. Instate Saturday 11:30am until Noon Mass at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Rose will be cremated and her interment will take place with her family at a later date.
