Patricia “Pat“ Ann Martina (Ackley) of Huntley, IL formerly of Bensenville, IL for over 50 years, passed away peacefully at Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital on Monday June 8, 2026. Patricia most recently resided at Indian Trails in Marengo, IL for 10 yrs until 2024. Loving family includes William Patrick “Rick“ (Roxan) Fetterhoff, Mark Alan (Trish) Fetterhoff, and Anitra Anne (Gary) Willis. Her siblings include the late Floyd Ackley, the late Florian “Fritz” Ackley, Robert, James, Bruce, Jean and Joan. Loving grandchildren Karisa, Brianna, Riley Fetterhoff, Alyssa, Zach Fetterhoff, Emily, and Sara Willis. Patricia was a devoted great grandmother to Avery and Charlotte. She also is survived by many fond nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved parents, the late Kenneth and Anne Ackley of Hayward,WI. A Memorial gathering will be held June 19, 2026 from5-7pm, (with Eulogy to be delivered at 6:30 PM ) at Defiore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 10763 Dundee Road Huntley, IL 60142. Interment will take place at a later date at Hayward Cemetery, Hayward, WI.

I was lucky as a nephew to share a birthday with my Aunt Pat as we would toast each other every year. Her infectious smile and laughter were always there to make any visit a comforting and joyous occasion. You will be missed and always remembered, Aunt Pat.

Pat was my neighbor in Bensenville for many years. In fact she once owned my house there. She was always a great neighbor! Always willing to help and we became great friends. She was certainly one of a kind! RIP Pat.
Pat (always Mrs. Fetterhoff to me) held a place in my heart that never faded with time or distance. I will carry her kindness with me always and I’m so grateful she was in my world. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. She was a truly amazing woman, and I feel so lucky to have known her love.
Thinking of the whole family as we mourn the loss of my mother-in-law. I will always remember her happiest moments—which were always when her family was gathered together. She truly lit up when anyone came to visit, and that warmth will be deeply missed.

I only knew Pat for the last several months, while my parents have been at White Oaks, but the impression she made of herself will last me forever. She was the sweetest, kindest, brightest soul. We laughed, spoke, smiled, and hugged every time we saw each other (3 days a week are my visits). I am deeply saddened by her passing.
