
Marlene Ellen Ruckoldt age 74 of Huntley passed away peacefully at her home on June 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and always encouraging others with her Christian Faith !
Marlene was born on November 13, 1951, in Corona, Ca. Marlene was the daughter of Darwin and Charlotte Jennings Le Van. She was raised in Costa Mesa, CA and Des Plaines, IL., graduating from Elk Grove High School in 1969. She was united in marriage to Robert “ Bob “ Ruckoldt, Jr. on September 12, 1970 in Mt Prospect, IL. The couple made their home in Streamwood and Elgin before moving to Huntley, Il in 2005, where they resided. Marlene especially enjoyed entertaining her family and friends on the holidays and hosting Bible studies and small groups. She was known for her hospitality and the sharing of her Christian Faith with others. She was especially known as a prayer warrior for others, especially her family and friends and those who needed support and encouragement.
Marlene is survived by her children, Sandra ( Anselmo ) Rivera, Aimee ( Dan ) Guzman, and Scott Ruckoldt, her grandchildren Alyxia(Everett), Madison, Jadon, Hudson (Tania), Annika (Alex) Mia, Emmitt, Owen, Olive, Silas, Ezra and Keliah, her dear great-grandchildren Pax, Finis, Lydia, Avery, August and Archer. She is also survived by a devoted sister Carolyn (Don)Wrasse, sister in law Charmaine Ruckoldt, as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and a myriad of many friends, who she so loved…. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 21st from 3-6pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A second visitation will be on Monday, from 1-3pm with a Memorial service all at Willow Creek Church, 38W133 Huntley Road Dundee Township. A private interment will take place at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard Staten Island, NY. 10306 ( 718 ) 987 3909.

Bob, we are so deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Marlene. We have such fond memories of our team dinners and potlucks after softball games over the years. Marlene's warmth, humor and wonderful presence always added so much fun to our gatherings. Please know that we are keeping you and your family in our thoughts during this difficult time. We are so saddened with the loss of Marlene. We have spent many dinners and outings together. I have spent many daily lunches at Sears with Marlene and our lunch group. We will miss her sense of humor and friendship. Bob, God bless you and your beloved family. Our deepest and heartfelt condolences.
