Theresa Raymondi

Obituary

Theresa "Penny" Raymondi, 84, passed away on June 22, 2026. She was born on September 21, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Leonard and Theresa (Zadravetz) Sabbia.
Family was not just important to Penny; it was everything. She built her life around the people she loved, and her home was always full β€” full of people, full of laughter, and full of the aromas of whatever she was cooking. She had a gift for making those around her feel cherished, and she gave that gift freely and without condition. She spoke her mind and would not hesitate to share her opinion. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest pride, and she poured herself into them completely.
When she wasn't with family, Penny loved to read, to listen to music, and to attend the theater β€” musicals held a special place in her heart.
She is survived by her daughter, Tara (Raymondi) Michelini; her son, Michael Raimondi; her cherished grandchildren, Adam, Maxwell, Francesca, Noah, and Stella; and her sister, Carolyn Sollinger. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Raymondi; her sister, Geraldine (Sabbia) Carpello; her brother, Anthony Sabbia; and her parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 11 at The Del Webb Prairie Lodge Fountain Center in Huntley, Illinois, 12940 Del Webb Blvd, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. Theresa will be laid to rest at All Saints Mausoleum in Des Plaines, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Theresa's name may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Penny and I haven’t seen each other in years. But I remember your mom as a wonderful and welcoming woman. Her home had an open door policy with all your friends.
