Joan B. Denholm, 89 of Carpentersville, died peacefully, February 1, 2014 at Lexington of Streamwood.
The family will greet friends on Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00pm with a Memorial Service at 3 pm all at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Elgin American Legion –Woman’s Auxiliary
Joan Bernice was born August 3, 1924 the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Scoczylos) Zdeblick. She married Robert Hayes Denholm on December 3, 1949. Joan was a nurse, a wife, mother, great & grand mother, bowler, book store owner, sister, aunt, and a courageous woman.
She is survived by her children, Robert H. Denholm, Jr. (Linda Trujillo), Pam J. Fender (Joe), Wendy Ahnen ( Steve), 4 grandchildren, Jason, Kevin, Michael and Elizabeth. She is also survived by her 3 great grandchildren, Hudson, Zoey and Cole and by her brother, Bob (Ronda) Zbeblick, her sister, Olga “Lollie” Caraher.
