On Monday, July 6, 2026, Marian Eeg passed into the presence of the Lord. Marian was born on July 23, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to Monrad and Helene Sivertsen Nedrebo. In 1933, during the depression, the family returned to Stavanger, Norway, where Marian grew up. Following the WWII German occupation and the death of her mother from a long illness, the family returned to America on Marian’s 17th birthday, July 23, 1947. Marian and her sisters, Harriet and Lillian, lived in Chicago with their father and attended Philadelphia church which was a Scandinavian congregation. In 1948, Marian met Leif Eeg on a blind date. She was thrilled to meet a young man of like faith, fluent in Norwegian, and having his own car.
On February 11, 1950 Leif and Marian had a double-wedding with Marian’s sister, Harriet, and her husband Lars Svensson.
Marian and Leif were blessed with five children, Marilyn Stoermer, Linda Lind (Randall),Dale (Lynette), David (Kate), and Wesley (Jennifer). Marian was the grandmother of Ryan Lind, Nathan Lind, Megan Kaufmann, Lauren Stoermer, Kayla Eeg, Erik Eeg, Alisa McHone, Jacob Eeg, Danielle Eeg, Russell Eeg, Mary Catherine Eeg, Tiger Eeg, and Hannah Eeg. Marian was great grandmother to nine children.
She enjoyed knitting, using Norwegian patterns and designs. She was an excellent cook and loved having company. The highlight of her week was hosting a women’s Bible study. She followed Jesus and wanted others to know him too. During the summers, Washington Island, Wisconsin, is where she spent much of her time. It reminded her so much of Norway, and she had sweet fellowship at Bethel Church on Washington Island.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents Monrad and Helene Nedrebo, step-mother Helene Nedrebo, step mother Harriet Lindblom Nedrebo, brother-in-law Roy Harbecke, son-in-law William Stoermer, sister Harriet Svensson, brother George Nedrebo, and brother-in-law Lars Svensson.
Marian is survived by her husband of 76 years, Leif Eeg, their 5 children, 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and her sister,
Lillian Harbecke.

I will never forget your mom’s beautiful open faced sandwiches. They were a work of art and delicious. So sorry for your loss.
I will treasure the memories of seeing her and Leif on a summer Sunday at Bethel. Summer was officially here when the Eegs showed up. ❤️ Please give special hugs to Leif. May the Lord bless you all.
My deepest condolences to the entire Eeg family. Marian lived a beautiful life of faith, love, and service, and her legacy will continue through the many lives she touched. Although she is now reunited with so many loved ones, including my dad, George Nedrebo, and Aunt Harriet, she will be deeply missed. Praying for God’s comfort and peace during this difficult time. ❤️
I have so many wonderful and precious memories. I will always remember Marian for her kindness, her warmth, and the smile and laughter she brought wherever she went. ❤️ I will also cherish all the lovely conversations we shared. Rest in peace. She will always remain in our hearts. ❤️
