Joanne Casey 66 (nee Wortmann) of Algonquin, IL passed away on July 13, 2026 after a long illness. Born in New Jersey, she was a graduate of Archbishop Walsh High School and Seton Hall University School of Nursing. As a registered nurse, she served pediatric patients with love and care in both New Jersey and Illinois for 40 years.

Her grandchildren cherish memories of making crafts and chocolate chip coffee cake with her. She loved to travel abroad and enjoyed frequent trips to Dallas, Key West and the Jersey shore to see family and friends.
More than anything, Joanne loved her family. Her children and grandchildren were her heart and greatest joy. She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Chris Casey, three children, Jennifer Kamper and her husband Bobby, Christopher Casey and Tommy Casey, two grandchildren, Grayson and Everleigh Kamper and her grand pups, Rx, Mack, Miller and Ernie. She leaves behind her siblings, Carol Wortmann, Robert Wortmann and his wife Cindy, Karen Hersh, and Susan Iossa and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
