Sherry J. Schrock

Obituary

Sherry J. Schrock, 88, of Lake in the Hills, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026, with her family by her side.
Sherry was born on May 23, 1938, in Harvard, Illinois, the daughter of Earl Lee and LaVerna Viola (Belding) Daniels. On June 23, 1963, she married the love of her life, James Lee Schrock, and together they built a life centered on kindness, compassion, and family.
Sherry had a generous heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She had a warm and gentle nature that made her easy to be around, and she never met a stranger she did not like. She truly loved everyone she encountered. An avid animal lover, Sherry opened her home and heart to many rescued cats over the years, giving them the love and care they deserved. Above all else, she cherished her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Henry) Klich; her beloved grandchildren, Kayla and Kyle; along with many extended family members and friends who will treasure her memory.
Sherry was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Schrock; her son, Major Kevin James Schrock; and her parents.
In accordance with Sherry's wishes, she will be reunited with her beloved husband at Mount Rainier.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Animal House Shelter of Huntley in Sherry Schrock’s name.
Visitation will be August 15, 2026 at Zion Lutheran Church, 412 Jackson St, Marengo from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Service will be held from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m. with a Celebration of Life luncheon afterwards at the church.
