
Joseph John Wallace Jr., 92, of Huntley, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, at JourneyCare Hospice.
Joseph was born on June 3, 1934, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the son of Joseph and Ann (Feichtner) Wallace. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1955 to 1963. Joseph graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science.
On August 22, 1959, Joseph married Suzanne Victoria Erickson at St. Edward Catholic Church in Racine. Together, they shared nearly 67 years of marriage and built a loving family.
Joseph enjoyed a successful career in the insurance industry until his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed skeet shooting and golf and was an avid bridge player. Above all, Joseph was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Joseph is survived by his beloved wife, Suzanne Wallace; his children, Nancy Wallace (Robert Ishii), Brenda (Daniel) Czabaj, Joseph John Wallace III (Connie Weber), Sharon (Rich) MacQueen, and Francine (Robert) Sprague; and his grandchildren, Alex Ishii, Mitchell Ishii, Kirsten Ishii, McKenzie Czabaj, Jason Czabaj, Haley Czabaj, Tyler Joseph Czabaj, John Wallace, Michelle Wallace, Sarah MacQueen, Rachel MacQueen, Zachary Sprague, Cameron Sprague, and Ashley Sprague.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. A private family burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Racine, Wisconsin.
Joseph lived for many years with trigeminal neuralgia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joseph’s memory to the Facial Pain Association.
